Privacy Notice (KVKK)

Gazikent Petshop takes the security of your personal data seriously. This notice is issued under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and the Communiqué on the Duty to Inform.

2. Categories of data

  • Identity: name, surname; Turkish ID number where required for invoicing.
  • Contact: phone, email, delivery and billing address.
  • Customer transactions: order history, basket, returns, auto-order (subscription) settings, GaziPuan activity, support conversations.
  • Financial: amount, payment method, IBAN provided for refunds. We do not store card numbers or security codes; the payment institution processes them.
  • Transaction security: IP address, session and cookie data, login logs, device and browser information.
  • Marketing: interests, pet type and age, campaign and newsletter preferences, shopping patterns from cookies (with your consent).
  • Service data: care notes about your pet for grooming and pet hotel bookings.

3. Purposes

  • Creating and managing your account,
  • Taking orders, collecting payment, preparing and delivering goods,
  • Issuing invoices and meeting statutory retention duties,
  • Handling returns, exchanges, withdrawals and complaints,
  • Running auto-orders and the GaziPuan loyalty programme,
  • Scheduling grooming and pet hotel appointments,
  • Information security and fraud prevention,
  • Responding to requests from authorities,
  • With your consent, sending campaigns, newsletters and personalised recommendations.
  • Performance of a contract (Art. 5/2-c): orders, payment, delivery, returns, subscriptions, membership.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 5/2-ç): invoicing, tax law, Law No. 6502 and Law No. 5651.
  • Establishing, exercising or defending a right (Art. 5/2-e): disputes and complaints.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 5/2-f): transaction security, service quality, fraud prevention.
  • Explicit consent (Art. 5/1): commercial electronic messages, marketing and analytics cookies, personalised ads.

5. Transfers

Limited to the purposes above and in line with KVKK Arts. 8 and 9, data may be shared with:

  • Carriers and couriers: name, address and phone for delivery.
  • Payment institution and banks: payment, refunds and fraud checks.
  • Hosting and cloud providers: to run the site and database. Where servers are abroad, transfers rely on the safeguards in KVKK Art. 9 (e.g. standard contracts).
  • Email, SMS and notification providers: order and shipping notifications and, with consent, campaigns.
  • Accountants: statutory bookkeeping.
  • Authorities and courts: on lawful request.

6. How data is collected

Through our website, sign-up and order forms, cookies, WhatsApp, phone and email conversations, and appointment forms in our store, by fully or partly automated means, electronically and on paper.

7. Retention

Data is kept as long as the purpose requires and for statutory periods (e.g. 10 years for commercial records), then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

8. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)

You have the right to learn whether your data is processed; request information; learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties it is shared with in Türkiye or abroad; request correction; request deletion or destruction under Art. 7; have third parties notified of such corrections or deletions; object to outcomes against you arising solely from automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

9. How to apply

Send your request by email from your registered address to kvkk@sehitkamilgazikentpetshop.com.tr, by signed letter delivered in person or via notary to Gazikent Mah. Örnek Cad. No:1, Şahinbey / Gaziantep, or via registered electronic mail (KEP), secure e-signature or mobile signature. Include your name, ID number (or nationality and passport number), address, contact details and your request. We respond free of charge within 30 days; if the request involves additional cost, the fee schedule set by the Personal Data Protection Board may apply.
